What’s New for April?

We released another major update to our admin section on April 9. Our latest update improves some of the features that bring value to your members and help create and track revenue.

Classified Ads

You may already be familiar with the Classified Ads available through your StarChapter site, and if not, we have a handy Classified Ads video that will take you through the important aspects of creating and maintaining the Classifieds section of your site. 

What’s New in Classifieds?

Thanks to your requests, StarChapter now offers a "job seeker" classified ad type for members seeking jobs to post resumes and career goals on your site. They can pull in their own contact information, they can type in details, and they can attach associated files, such as resumes. And they can easily submit the Job Seeker ad from the front end of your site, which will save you time. From the back end, you need only approve or decline the submitted classified ad.

Sponsors and Sidebar Ads

We have worked hard to improve our Sponsors and Sidebar Ads. If you are new to these features we recommend watching the Sponsors and Advertisers video to learn all the basics. For any questions that arise, we encourage you to contact support to learn even more.

What’s New in Sponsors and Sidebar Ads?

Our improvements offer more control over working with your sponsors and sidebar ads, in turn improving your ability to bring in revenue with these important StarChapter features. For instance, our new Click Reporting is a great feature that allows you to see how many times a sponsor, sidebar, or classified ad has been clicked on the site. To see how many clicks an ad has received, go to Sponsors & Advertisers and click on the Click Report button in the Action column. This will take you to a screen with click tracking information.  

In addition, new options for displaying sponsor categories add flexibility in how you display sponsors. New sponsor e-mail templates let you promote the sponsors in your mass mailings and not just on your site. This additional prominence for Sponsorships increases their value.

Catalogs and Products

Have you tried using our products and catalogs yet? There are so many ways that you can use these features, the topic could encompass an entire newsletter. To get you started, we highly recommend the Products video  and the Catalogs video.

If you are already well-versed in using catalogs and products, you’ll be happy to hear that we’ve implemented some requested improvements.

What’s New in Catalogs and Products?

You can display, manage and sell more products with ease, using the new Catalog, Product and Inventory functionality under the new section called “Store.”  With improved shipping screens your order fulfillment process is streamlined, and inventory controls let you track your purchases and inventory adjustments for physical counts, damaged products, returns, and more. New product purchase charts and reports show you how many of a particular item have been sold and are on-hand. Plus, downloadable products are now supported.
