Need help with Board and Committee Member transitions?

This time of year, many chapters and associations are welcoming new members to boards and committees. As always, it’s important to keep your StarChapter site up-to-date with any new names and faces.

Our new Board and Committee training videos will guide you through basic to moderately advanced techniques.

Managing your Board of Directors

Whether you’ve had a complete board changeover, an addition or two, or just need to update the email address of one member, “Managing your Board of Directors” is your go-to video.

Basic topics include how to add or replace board members, as well as how to create a new subgroup and assign a member to it.

Topics that get a little deeper include how to add alternate email addresses and corresponding forwarders, as well as altering the Board of Directors template to specify which information may appear on the Board page.

Managing Committee Listings

Another video that can help speed up your tasks is our new “Managing Committee Listings” video.

The video will direct you to the Member Groups section of the Group Manager where you’ll create a new committee, assign members to that committee, and learn the various ways to display a committee listing on your site. Whether you only need to make a simple change to an existing committee, or you want to do it all, this video is the answer, because it packs a big punch in less than 5 minutes.

In fact, most of StarChapter’s Video Tutorials are less than 5 minutes long, and are an excellent resource whenever you need a little guidance.
