Changes to Email Services
Updated: Aug. 31, 2017 | Categories: StarChapter Admin
By the end of June 2015, we will retire our existing individual email account service. This will ONLY affect users with individual email account service or chapters that have set up mailboxes. If you currently use our existing POP3 or webmail services, all you have to do is either start using your current personal or business email account or create a dedicated mailbox with a free/paid email service, like Gmail or Outlook.com. These dedicated email services provide robust email client applications, storage, controls, and protection.
We are in no way changing our email sending service (Email Manager) that allows you to send out meeting invitations, reminders, surveys, and newsletters, or Email Forwarders.
Read our blog posts about the different options using free email services, paid services and how to determine which one fits the needs of your chapter best.
If you need further assistance with the transition, login to your StarChapter service to submit a support ticket, and a member of our Support Team will get back to you.

You will still have the mass communication feature available to you after the POP3 retirement. When you are sending emails out through StarChapter, you have the option to set a reply-to address. While POP3 accounts are being retired, you have the option to use our forwarding system, or use another mail service for email.

What happens to email sent out from star chapter for events, newsletters, or email going to or coming from a webmaster? What system email addresses are maintained for these communications?
