Email marketing is far from being obsolete. We recorded a 119% aggregated increase in emails sent with StarChapter in December 2014 compared to December 2013. And this is just the beginning.

Emails continue to be popular among board leaders. Our chapters for example sent out more than 48k announcement emails during December 2014, a 196% increase compared to December 2013.

Historically, December is one of the busiest months in terms of email volume: Cyber Monday, Christmas and New Year’s bring out a lot of content to disperse among members and non-members in preparation for the coming year and wrapping up the activity of the previous year.

But how does December 2014 compare with December 2013? We analyzed the four most popular types of emails that were sent through the StarChapter software: blogs, member welcome emails, surveys and announcements. Here’s a visualized graph to help you capture the differences. Undoubtedly, we see growth across the board in the most popular email categories.

Stay tuned for the next posts as we compare other stats like meetings and attendance volumes.
